Recently, a supervisory team for the special rectification of provincial-level development zones in Yunnan Province conducted an on-site inspection of Yuxi High-Tech Zone and the Hongta Industrial Park.

As an important stop on the inspection tour, SEMCORP Yuxi, a subsidiary of SEMCORP, welcomed the supervisory team for an on-site visit and guidance. The visit not only demonstrated the government’s attention to the company’s operations, but also underscored the importance attached to the development of Yuxi’s new energy battery industry.

During the visit, representatives of SEMCORP Yuxi provided the supervisory team with a detailed briefing on the company’s current operations and future development plans. As an important strategic component of SEMCORP’s presence in southwest China, SEMCORP Yuxi has been rooted in Yuxi since its establishment, focusing on the research, development and manufacturing of high-performance lithium-ion battery separators.

Deepening Industry Development, Achieving Breakthroughs in Production Capacity and Output Value

Leveraging SEMCORP’s technological strengths in the separator industry, Phase I of the SEMCORP Yuxi project commenced production in March 2026.

At present, Phase I has achieved an actual production capacity significantly exceeding its original design capacity, while its product performance indicators have reached leading levels in the industry.

Government-Enterprise Collaboration to Further Optimize the Business Environment

During the inspection, the supervisory team focused on understanding the progress of the special rectification efforts, as well as the challenges and needs faced by enterprises.

SEMCORP Yuxi has deeply appreciated the care and support extended to the real economy by governments at the provincial, municipal and district levels. In recent years, Hongta District and the High-Tech Zone have established mechanisms such as a transparent and constructive government-business relationship and the “Director-Level Reception for Complaints and Requests” initiative, helping enterprises address numerous difficulties and bottlenecks in their development and significantly strengthening their confidence in future growth.
