Bringing Together Experts to Map a Blueprint for Cooperation

The Spanish delegation was led by senior officials from the Spanish Embassy and included representatives from nearly 10 institutions, such as the Spanish Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI), the Advanced Materials Technology Platform (MATERPLAT), and the Plastics Technology Research Centre (AIMPLAS). Each institution boasts profound technical expertise and extensive project experience in the field of new materials.

SEMCORP attached great importance to this exchange. Chief Technology Officer Alfred and the Deputy Director of the Research Institute, and other key technical and management personnel participated in the meeting for in in-depth discussions with the Spanish delegation on material technology innovation and future collaboration.

Focusing on the Frontier to Deepen Technical Exchanges

During the exchange, both sides conducted thorough discussions on specialized topics such as "process improvements in separator production" and "breakthroughs in online coating technology for separators."

SEMCORPs R&D team provided a systematic overview of the companys strategic layout and latest advancements in the separator field. In the area of wet-process separators, the team highlighted a recent innovationthe 5µm ultra-thin, high-strength separator. While boosting the energy density of electric vehicles, the product also significantly improves battery safety and offers broad application prospects.
