Career

·       Oversee and manage the coating process implementation to ensure consistent product qualification rates, continuous improvement, and production stability. Prepare improvement summaries and participate in internal process audits.

·       Immediately initiate and implement corrective actions related to process, production, quality, or customer-identified issues. Lead cross-functional efforts to ensure timely and effective resolution.

·       Independently collect, summarize, and analyze product quality issues from the production line. Develop data-driven recommendations for improvement and continuously follow up to verify implementation effectiveness.

·       Lead SOC (Standard Operating Conditions) modification and optimization. Design and execute DOE (Design of Experiments) initiatives to identify and validate optimal process conditions for stable, high-quality production.

·       Manage process stability using SPC (Statistical Process Control) methods to ensure product characteristics meet capability standards (CPK ≥ 1.33). Monitor process trends and take proactive measures to maintain control.

·       Drive process improvement projects to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize material utilization. Support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to achieve measurable performance gains.

·       Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, R&D, and Production teams to troubleshoot issues, scale up new products, and ensure seamless process transitions.

·       Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), process instructions, and training materials. Provide technical support and coaching to production staff on new or optimized processes.

·       Ensure all process changes and activities align with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations and SEMCORP’s internal safety standards.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

·       Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline required.

·       3+ years of experience in process engineering, preferably in film coating, plastics, or chemical manufacturing.

·       Experience with DOE, SPC, and CPK methodologies in a continuous production environment preferred.

Skills & Competencies

·       Bilingual in Chinese and English will be highly preferred.

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with hands-on manufacturing experience.

·       Proficient in statistical process control, data analysis, and process validation.

·       Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.

·       Excellent communication and teamwork skills across technical and operations teams.

·       Proficiency with Microsoft Office, and familiarity with MES/ERP systems.

·       Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Work Environment

Primarily on-site within a high-volume manufacturing facility. Exposure to film coating machinery, moving mechanical parts, and process chemicals. May require occasional travel for training, equipment qualification, or technical support.
